Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with spots on my right lung 6 weeks ago. Dr. said pneumonia and gave me antibiotic, two weeks ago the spots are still there the cough is worse and now my breasts are extremely sensitive, my nipples hurt so bad. My abdomen is swollen so much that clothes don t fit and Im so achy all over but my legs are the worst. Sharp pain radiates all through both but the left seems to be constant. I run a low grade fever and my doctor is referring me to a lung doctor. My father died of cancer and both grandparents on my mothers side. My sister on my fathers side died from heart disease at 34 and my brother at 36 and Im 38. I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 9+ years ago and I take Lyrica for that. Arthritis and Scoliosis a few years were discovered and I just stretch and exercise for both. I am used to constant pain but this is different. I am absolutely exhausted beyond anything before. Should I be concerned and pushing for a quicker appt or more testing? Im just concerned and trying to figure it out
The constellation of symptoms indicates lung pathology with anxiety manifestations of the condition.
I would quote that do remain in regular follow up with your consultant, continue the medications and discuss the need to follow up x-ray or CT scan during your next scheduled follow up with the doctor.
There is no need for quicker work up or being panic at present.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
