Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Caused After Sex

I am a 58 yr. old female and my husband and I are still sexually active. I have a lot of pain when he penetrates. Like I m contracted. Then, when we get going, it s ok. However, afterwards I do have some bleeding. The gyn says there is a place in my vagina that rubs raw. I had an Est-Ring which helped but can no longer afford it. (about $60 A MONTH plus I m on disability and take a lot of other meds that total $210 a month, and I m on Medicare)

Hello,

It looks like you are having sex without lubrication & hence the pain. Use vaginal moisturizers to reduce painful friction. Do stretch exercises & pelvic exercises regularly, low vaginal estrogen therapy is effective.

You can also use natural vaginal lubricants like aloe vera juice, olive oil or coconut oil. Take Evion - 400 mg, once daily as a dietary supplement. Lubrication reduces itchiness, dryness, burning, pain or bleeding due to friction while having penetrative sex.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
