Suggest Treatment For Bleeding From Nose In Diabetes Patient

My husband was diagnosed with diabetes, insuline dependant, & Hep. C but has not been to Gastrointerologest, yet.The endocrinologist has warned us to watch for infections, bleeding of esophogus or abdomen, dark stools & vomiting. Our primary care Dr. is not available this week to see. He started the nose bleeds about 3 days ago & is getting worse. He is some times light headed & dizzy. Should I take him to the ER?

Hello,
He definitely needs to be taken to ER so as to ascertain the cause and institute proper treatment.
Causes can be local confined to nose or it could be due to high blood pressure.
If it is high blood pressure then it has to be lowered before nasal bleeding stops.
Thanks
