Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Hemorrhoid In Rectum

Hi I seem to have a polyp at the entrance of my anus. It is very pink so I do not think it is a hemrrhoid but it definitely could be. It is painful when I go to the bathroom and there is bright red blood on my toilet paper after I wipe. It typically does not itch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to hemorrhoids. A digital examination by General surgeon will be helpful to rule out this. Proctoscopy examination might be needed to confirm it also. This will help to rule out polyps also. Applying over the counter haemorrhoid creams containing corticosteroid like hydrocortisone and anesthetic like cinchocaine (proctosedyl) will be helpful. You can also take stool softeners like lactulose or sorbitol syrup.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
