Hi,

Most nasal bleed in children are benign and can be caused by blocked nose, cold, allergy, nose picking and cough. In some cases, a bout of cough causes the tiny blood vessels in the nasal mucosa to break and that causes bleed.

The bleeding will stop if you pinch the nose of the child at the soft part and hold it for couple of minutes firmly. In my view, there is nothing to be concerned about at the moment.

If the child continue to bleed occasionally even after the recovery, you can consult an ENT specialist. They will evaluate the cause of bleed after looking at nasal mucosa and blood test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
