Suggest Treatment For Blockage In Circumflex Artery
My wife is 58 years old with 40+ years being a type 1 diabetic. She had a triple bypass done back in 2006 and the bypasses are holding up. She recently had a non-STEMI and her cardiologist did a heart cath on her. This showed 60% blockage in he circumflex artery. He more or less said that if it closes up, it closes up, and states that this artery can t be stented or bypassed.

Suggest Treatment For Blockage In Circumflex Artery
Hi, It will need to be treated with anti-platelets like aspirin and Clopidogrel long term along with cholesterol lowering drugs. Unless atypical anatomy or difficulty to engage, usually it s not a contraindication to angioplasty so a second opinion might be sought. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards, Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
