Suggest Treatment For Blocked Nose And Sinus Congestion
I've been congested for over a week now and nothing seems to help. Also, migraines because of the congestion and blowing my nose all day long. I've tried dayquil, nyquil, Advil. The advil helps a little, but still in pain and can't breathe through nose at all.
As per your complain it seems that there is mucous accumulation in the sinuses leading to congestion and blocked nose as the sinuses drain through nose and it is due to viral infection causing common cold.. Headache is also due to congestion.. Nothing to worry, you can take a short course of antibiotics like Erythromycin for 5 days.. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Decongestatnts like Phenylephrine or Pseudoephadrine can be taken to reduce congestion.. Mucolytics like Ambroxol can be taken.. Do steam inhalations, saline nasal irrigations and decongestant nasal sprays.. Use a humidifier in your room..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
