Hi,

If you don't want to give him Levocetrizine 5mg at night time, for a week or use a nasal saline spray, you can take a few measures.

Use a humidifier or vaporizer and go for steam inhalation. Take long showers or breathe in steam from a pot of warm (but not too hot) water. Make him drink lots of fluids. Try a nasal irrigator or bulb syringe. Place a warm, wet towel on his face and make him prop himself up while sleeping, avoid chlorinated pools.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
