Suggest Treatment For Blood Blisters In The Ear

I had a blood blister in my ear and it started to bleed this morning. I went to the doctor and had it checked and was told everything look fine and to not do anything now. This has been bleeding since this morning and I am on a blood thinner. Any suggestion on how to get it stopped?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take drugs like tranexamic acid to control bleeding.

You can also apply topical antibiotics for faster recovery. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
