Suggest Treatment For Blood Clot On Leg

My 85 year old grandmother has survived two minor strokes and now has a clot in her leg that is beginning to get gangrene. The family has decided to let nature take its course. There is no pulse below the knee. How long can we expect to see her survive?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.

If there is no decision about leg amputation which should be done, then prognosis is very poor and it will lead to sepsis and it may last from few days till few weeks.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
