Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool And Lower Back Pain

I ve been having serious lower back pain to the point I can hardly stand up. I ve had a bad back for 20 plus years (I am 51 now) so I am just thinking I ve got something pinched like a nerve. But here is my big concern. I just had to go to the bathroom really bad so I did. It shot out very fast and seemed normal other then the shot out fast. Ok then I wipe my bum and the toilet paper was seriously covered in dark red blood wiped again same thing. I got up and the toilet was covered everywhere not just in the water. The blood on side of bowl didn t even wash away when I flushed it two times. Can you think of what it might be please?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blood in stool and lower back pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like due to gastroenteritis, colitis or worm infestation and ulcer , UTI , irritable bowel syndrome , lactose intolerance, and medication reaction or side-effect poisoning. I would suggest you to take probiotics, curd, yogurt and banana as a home remedy. Avoid fatty, hot, spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks. Have plenty of water and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , CT scam , ultrasound and endoscopy . Doctor may also recommend surgery in case of anal fissure and piles . Doctor may prescribe ornidazole , laxative , omeprazole along with anti allergic and anti inflammatory . For now eat light and no spicy and take light walk after every meal .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
