Suggest Treatment For Blue Discoloration Of Lips And Broken Tooth
My lips keep Turing blue I am 32 weeks pregnant and a smoker, however doc did a CBC came back fine, heart and lungs sound good. The only thing I have wrong is a broken tooth. My hands and feet are great but I can feel my lips pulsating and they keep turning g blue
As per your query discoloration of your lips is due to smoking. Smoking causes decreased oxygen in the area around lips and causes blood vessels and due to this decreased oxygen pigments in that region die causing discoloration of lips.
I would suggest you to quit smoking first of all as you are pregnant as well it will hamper your baby growth. Apply topical creams rich in retinoids, hydroquinone. You can apply hydrocortisone rich ointment along with these retinoid creams. You need a proper prescription for this. Avoid excessive sun exposure, if ever you have to go cover mouth area. apply aloe vera gel on daily basis.
I would suggest you to visit dermatologist and get ointment prescribed for you that will work for smoking related lip discoloration. Visit dentist once for treatment of broken tooth, Get non invasive procedures done.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
