Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
blurred or cloudy vision in rt eye when awaken from sleep. will slowly clear after blinking for awhile.been happening more frequently.sleep with c pap machine have dx niddm htn mi depression chronic pain with surgery on back and neck with dislocated disc
Hi..Thanks for the query.. It could be most probably due to dry eyes.. When you sleep there won't be blinking mechanism which redistributes the tear film over the ocular surface. So the surface will get dried up especially when your eyes are not totally closed. But usually this effects both eyes.. You can use a lubricating eye ointment during night so that there won't be dry ocular surface when you get up.. You can use artificial tear drops during day time also if you have problem.. Ensure that your eye is totally closed when you sleep.. COnsult an ophthalmologist if necessary and to check whether there is any other problem or damage to the ocular surface also.. Hope this information is helpful to you.. Will be available for further queries.. Take care..
