Suggest Treatment For Boil Above Ear Which Oozes Foul Smelly Liquid

Hi I'm 32 and a few years ago i had a boil just above my ear. This popped and foul smelly fluid leakd out. Ever since then the boil grows larger and every so often a thick creamy fluid like pus comes out of the hole this smells very bad. The last two days I have experianced alot of pain from the area and the surrounding area of my head. What do I do?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It looks like either an infected cyst or an abscess. The type of discharge that you have explained that is thick creamy pus like discharge that is smelly further confirms towards infection. So my suggestion is to consult an emergency department or a physician and get it evaluated. You need an incision and drainage followed by antiseptic dressing and a course of antibiotics such as Augmentin. Do not delay further as it can spread and get deeper.
