Suggest Treatment For Boil Like Spots On Inner Thighs
Hi. I have had problems with these lump almost boil like spots on my inner thighs and in the crease alone bikini line, they are reoccurring. They come get very sore and go away after about 3-5 days leaving a dark purple scar like place. They present with no discharge, no fever, just a bliste like appearance. Should I be concerned and go see my doctor for antibiotics?? It s been happening on and off for about 5-6 weeks.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of boil like spots on inner thigh which occur because of infection of the hair follicle leading to heat generation.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you
1) Wash these areas daily with lukewarm water and body wash containing salicylic acid twice a day.
2) Apply topical antibacterial ointment.
3) Take diet rich in multivitamins.
4) Maintain complete hygiene of that area.
If the condition doesn't get well in a week then consult a dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline and steroid ointment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
