Suggest Treatment For Bony Mass Around The Fractured Bone

I broke my humerous in 2 places 12 weeks ago and although healing slowly and the Dr is quite pleased I have a large boney mass around the larger break, the Dr said it was normal and that it was bone swelling and would go. Are you able to offer any advice. I am still in a lot of pain from my finger to the shoulder joint for which I get no relief with pain killers, again the Dr said that was normal and not to seek physio for at least anaother month due to the level of pain.
