Suggest Treatment For Borderline Widal Positive
hello Doctor,
I am Ranjith, last month i had a fever for a week and stomach pain too, when examined they told its spleenomegaly. later it cured but the same date of this month i got severe fever past from 3 days, i gone for check up blood test and result said boderline widal positive,so what ever i eat tab still fever comes continous , so is ti a very serious diease doctor?

Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that if you have typhoid fever than you show frank positive widal and not a borderline positive widal. I suspect a diagnosis of Pyrexia Of Unknown origin in your case. I also advice you to do other investigation like blood culture for brucella, Dengue, Malaria parasite etc. But even though you should start a treatment with lomefloxacin because of typhoid.
