Suggest Treatment For Bradycardia And Light Headedness

Hi, I just recently found out I have bradycardia. I had severe (severe; 7.5/10) chest pain, shortness of breath and light-headedness. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I have seen my GP, twice and been to the ER. Heart enzymes are fine, chest x-ray is fine and ultrasound of most all of my guts also fine. ER doc said Costochondritis, but seems atypical but you are stable so not much for me to do, check bk with your GP and come in for a stress test. GP hones in on my father s MS and refers me to neurologist. I had fluttering in my chest twice in the past few months, only for a few seconds and then instantly okay again. I m worried b/c I have almost fainted twice (yesterday and today). I had an acupuncture appointment for pain management yesterday and I cancelled b/c afraid to drive...but I have to go to work and live my life. My health insurance runs out Friday. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you should have an echocardiogram as well as exercise tolerance test. X-ray and CT chest as well as baseline autoimmune work up as well as muscle enzymes should also be done.

Symptoms can't be ignored and this work up is mandatory before calling it muscular. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used for symptomatic relief.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
