Suggest Treatment For Brain Injury

Dear Sir / Madam,

My sister suffered severe brain injury 3 months back .However, she has not fallen anywhere nor it's due to any road accident. She was complaining about severe headache 2-3 days earlier to that but finally was diagnosed with bleeding in left part of the brain, doctors said its subdural heamatoma. Burr hole evacuation was done , but she continued to be in coma for atleast 22 days. MRI scan post 7 days of surgery detected that a massive damage has been done to her brain and it's infarction. However, she was able out of ventilator on th 8th day post operation and till today. She started blinking her eyes and then opened her eye properly after 25 days of the operation. Her BP and oxygen levels came into perfect control nearly 2.5 months of operation. She was out of all external support systems including Trachestomy 1 week after that and now she is being looked after at home with nursing and physiotherapy aid. She is able to take semi solid food directly through her mouth and is also taking nasal feeding alternatively.

Its now almost 3 months now she had the attack in her brain.

She has constant eye opening since past 1 month, now she is able to look at objects, persons continuously for minutes together, is able to sit in wheel chair with help from family members, makes gestures (folding of hands) while listening to spiritual songs(she is spiritual minded from the beginning). However these gestures and actions are not consistent. Sometimes she wants to express something and makes sound but unable to talk.

The latest MRI summary report .

She is taking the following medicinecs as per Doctor's prescription.

somazina

ceham(alternative)

Strocit(alternative)

Modalert (100 mg)

Donep (Syrup)

Lesuride (tablet)

Pantocid (gas)

levera (500 mg) - fits

Can you kindly suggest the chances of recovery and how long it might take for her to start talking and doing few voluntary things. Kindly suggest if she requires to be admitted to neuro rehabilitation center. Few doctors are saying it's not required now. Kindly advise what else we can do. Awaiting your response and valuable suggestions please.

Regards,

Bijay
