Suggest Treatment For Breathing Difficulty

Hello Doctor, I have a concern I tried doing some self research. However one problem always seems to contradict the other. My problem are below. 1) I have noticed the last 3 days I wake up 3 to 4 hours more than usual. 2) yesterday 12/5/14 my lungs are extremely sore and ache, I thought I could sleep it off as today the problem still here. Yesterday the once the pain came on throughout the day it only got worse. ... to the point they with every step I took the giggle from the force made the lung hurt so I began to pretty much tippy toe.. 3) I can not take a full breath nor exhale fully nor laugh :( one of my favorite things to do. 4) I do not have asthma, no chest pain, no mucus. 5) when I lay on my back with my arms over my head if done extremely slowly I can take a full breath and fully exhale I mean really really slowly. 6) when done throughout the mouth the pain is not as bad as when throughout the nose. please if you have any answer I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all, you have to rule out whether it is a Cardiac pain or a Non-cardiac pain.

Non-cardiac pain may be due to pneumonia or Pleurisy. If it is confirmed, then you can use the vaporizer to inhale daily.

Also, gargle your throat with lukewarm saltwater for 5 to 6 times a day. If the symptoms persist, you have to consult your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
