Suggest Treatment For Breathing Difficulty

I have had a fever of over 100 for the past few days accompanied by the chills and body sensitivity. My main concern is I have heaviness in my chest and at times find it hard to breathe. I feel as if my lungs are full of mucus but do not have a cough or any other cold-like symptons.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should rule out lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI - pneumonia) and bronchitis.
Both of these cause fever, cough, expectoration, heaviness in chest and breathing difficulty.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule pneumonia.
PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
On the basis of diagnosis, you're will need inhaled bronchodilators, inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and antibiotic drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
