Suggest Treatment For Breathing Problem

My lungs seems like they are not expanding enough, I smoked since 2012. In 2013, I don t think I smoked that much but in 2014 I smoked maybe about 2 or 3 packs and I really had trouble breathing. I would stay in the house laying down and that would help. Late 2014 I smoked again and I seemed fine. But now around May 2015 I am having trouble breathing again and I haven t touch a cigarette since maybe a month ago and that was only 1 in a long while. Doctors did an x ray and they said they couldn t find anything and said that my lungs are healthy. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may need to do a spirometry because chronic bronchitis may be possible. Also, stopping smoking may make you have many benefits. I can encourage you to stop smoking and use Nicorette lozenges or nasal spray to reduce nicotine cravings.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
