Suggest Treatment For Breathlessness After Exercise Along With Lymphedema In Left Leg

Hi I am 33 a fitness instructor, in very good shape and healthy. I recently have been experiencing shortness of breath after exercise along with lymphedema in my left leg. Not sure if those two things are related... Had an EKG and blood work done. Both came back great. I am now thinking maybe I have Left Ventricle Hypertrophy that is induced by strength training. This would explain my shortness of breath when I go up and down stairs... I am also a runner... I run 5 miles usually a couple times a week. do at times get dizzy and light headed after and during workouts

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You are a trainer and runner. You should know the physical symptoms better. Your age could also be a factor. As your EKG and blood work came normal, there may not be any other thing to worry about because if doctors suspect anything, they would have investigated further. In my opinion, your shortness of breath should be due to the anxiety about the lymphaedema which you are actually worried about and obsessive. These worries and obsession, along with doubts about your physical health, combines to the feelings of breathlessness. I suggest, if the present breathless is not that noticeable or severe, to ignore it.

If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.

Hope this answers your query. Please feel free to post follow up queries. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck. Take care.
