Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion there are two possibilities.
1. COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) due to smoking.
2. Acute bronchitis due to chemical allergy.
So better to consult pulmonologist and rule out these.
You should get done
1. Chest x ray
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
These will tell you about the diagnosis. And start the treatment according to diagnosis.
Better to quit smoking.
