Suggest Treatment For Bronchial Asthma And Difficulty While Breathing
I am 72 years old and have bronchial asthma , for this I am daily taking Accuhailer - seritide puffs once daily, some times two puffs one in the morning and the 2nd before going to bed. Recently I got my chest rayed as per Dr. s advice when I felt some discomfort for breathing. The X-ray report says there is a Aortic calicification seen, other than this no other abnormalities. Please advise what type of treatment need to be taken , and is it a problem to be viewed seriously.?
* As per my clinical experience, the aortic calcification is an age related sclerotic changes from calcium deposits in the aorta and not of great concern as of now. The management guidelines for bronchial asthma and difficulty in breathing are: @ Regular use of accuhaler puffs @ Walking in fresh air @ Deep breathing exercises @ YOGA @ Avoidance of smoking (active and passive) @ Control of blood sugar @ Preference of semi reclining position during rest @ Avoid use of multiple stair case, lifting weight if involved
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
