Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis

I have been sick for almost two months now. It started as what I thought was bronchitis. Dr. put me on antibiotics and cough syrup, and while it helped, symptoms didnt go away. I have terrible body aches cough and a sore throat. I was also placed on steriods and an inahler, and while there steriods helped, after they were done i felt bad again. I am 29 and have smoked for 15 years. I have quit for a week now and still feel terrible every day

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion you should definately consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (puomonary function test).
PFT will tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You will need newer long acting inhaled bronchodilators (indacaterol and glycopyrollium).
Chest physiotherapy in the form of deep breathing exercises and incentive spirometry is also advisable.
Dont worry ,you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
