I was diagnosed with Bronchities on August 31 and put on Z-pack antibiotics, ough syrup with Codeine, inhaler and Prednisone. I am done with my medication and decided not to take the prednisone since it makes me bloated and actually makes me gain weight. The coughin has subsided tremendously. I am still coughing but as not as bad as I was 10 days ago. However, it's the excessive sweating that bothers me throughout the day and and at night time in my sleep. I am 57, going through menopause and trying to lose 10-20 pounds and regularly go to Zumba which helps tremendously but for the last 2-3 weeks I have stopped going to class because of the Bronchitis. Why do I have excessive sweating?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done chest x ray if not done earlier. For any infection present or not. Since you are having more trouble in night and sweating too I will advice you to go for ECG to rule out cardiac cause. Menopausal women are at increased risk of heart disease due loss of estrogen protection. And night time symptoms like breathlessness and sweating favour cardiac cause more. So get done ECG.
