Suggest Treatment For Brown Marks On Face Of A Breastfeeding Mom

Hi , i am breastfeeding mum for 11months old, 3 weeks ago i suffered with fever and flu for 3days then impetigo appeared on face. I finished 7 days course of flucloxacillin 500mg , rash healed and left a brown mark on my face, help me to get rid of it please

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

You have developed post-Inflammatory hyperpigmentation which should resolve in due course of time

You could use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily for a few days. That would make the hyperpigmentation progressively lighter till it vanishes away.

Vit C rich foods OR An Oral Vit C supplement once daily would hasten the resolution.
