I had completely protected sex on a day I was supposed to be in my period but I wasnt. Two days later I noticed brownish reddish discharge. It s been a week since then and it s only happened two other times. Is there any way I could be pregnant? He condom did not break at all. Note: I usually have very irregular periods. Should I be freaking out or do I have nothing to worry about?
Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion the chances of pregnancy appears less as it was protected sex.But as you have irregular cycles the safe and unsafe periods cannot be predicted. The symptoms of pregnancy usually start 2 weeks after missed period or around 6 weeks of pregnancy. As the brownish discharge was seen just 2 days after the intercourse it cannot be due to pregnancy. There might be hormonal imbalance leading to irregular spotting. If the expected date of period is passed then do a urine pregnancy test or around 3 weeks after intercouse. If negative wait for spontaneous onset of periods for 10 or 15 days.If still no period consult gynaecologist for withdrawal bleeding.Avoid stress as it might also delay periods.
