Suggest Treatment For Bruise In The Eye

3 days ago, while moving in to my new home, I was caring in houseware items and tripped over a box, hitting my head on the door frame. There was no cut, only a small dent where I hit it. The dent is about 3 inches long with the middle of it on the hairline above my right eye. It was swollen so I put ice on it. I did not lose consciousness, have had no dizziness or eye sight problems. However, this morning, my right eyelid was full of fluid tinged with a little blood, like bruising. I assume this is the fluid from the swelling at the time of the injury and am not worried about it. Does this sound right to you? I am a 56 yr old active female in great health.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having bruise of the eyelids following injury to the head.
This is because of collection of blood in the layers of skin of eyelids as a result of impact of injury.
Since you are not having any signs of head injury or eye sight problems, no need to worry. This will resolve by itself as the blood gets absorbed over 1-2 weeks. Applying cold compression will provide symptomatic relief.

Thank you
