Suggest Treatment For Bruise Like Patches On The Glans Penis

I ve noticed what appears to be a bruise-like patch on the glans of my penis, and am very worried that it could be something more. It does not hurt at all, and it s not raised or anything, it s just sort of a dark reddish-purplish patch of skin that reminds me, as said earlier, of a bruise. I haven t noticed any change in health, and my current partner and I have been having intercourse for a little over 9 months now. I just noticed the bruise today. Could you help me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A bruising in sexually active person should never be neglected on clinical grounds as it can be developing herpes or other genital lesions.

Kindly consult an expert dermatologist for evaluation and guidelines.

At present, you can opt to use polymycin cream to avoid secondary bacterial infection and avoid intercourse until recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
