Suggest Treatment For Bruise On Ankles A Child

I noticed a bruise on my 4 year old daughters ankle approx. 1 week ago. It didn t appear to be tender to the touch. Today It is still the but the texture has changed. It is slightly hardened and feels textured. The outer layer of the skin is smooth with no lesions, cracking, scaly skin ect. What could this be. I don t recall her hurting herself or having any kind of injury.

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the issue of bruise on ankle of a child can be related to sequence of unnoticed soft tissue infection mostly provoking scaly eruptions via staph bug.

However, a clinical examination is must with expert pediatrician in this regard to get further clinically relevant information.

Till that time, I can guide that

- keep the ankle clean with antiseptic liquid or soap

- apply polymycin or neomycin cream when she is resting

- apply sterile dressing of normal saline over the part.

If you can provide a photo pic of the rash during follow up chat, I can discuss further accordingly.
