Suggest Treatment For Bruise On The Leg Causing Pain And Swelling

I bumped my leg about a month ago and a large hard swollen area formed with some bruising. It has been very slow to heal and still has swelling and a hard knot in the area. Today I bumped my arm and the same thing is happening. I am female and will be 62 in a month.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear thanks for writing to healthcare magic..
I advise first of all to get the x ray done to check for any fracture and internal damage. also follow this advise:
1) raise your leg to improve the circulation
2) Take tab Hifenac P for relief of pain
3) Tab FLEXON MR to reduce the swelling
4) Take hot water shakes 2-3 times a day on affected area
5) Consult orthopaedics if there is significant damage comes in X ray
Hope this information helps
Thanks and regards
