Suggest Treatment For Bruise On Thigh

I thought I got bit by something on my thigh today and I could feel a hard bump through my slacks. tonight I see a large bruise in that spot the size of a small plum red in the center and a blue ring surrounding it. It is slightly itchy and the hard bump the size of a walnut is slowly subsiding.Should I be concerned?

Hi and welcome to HCM
It seems more likely that you have bruised your thigh by injuring it/bumping it somewhere which you didnt notice at the time. It could also be a bite but seems unlikely.
The blue color is due to the swelling and bleeding under the skin, mostly due to injuring it. The swelling will slowly decrease. The colour also will fade and come back to normal once the blood clots fades away. if you do not have severe pain, itching you may observe till it gets better.
Thrombophob ointment will help in clearing it a little faster.
Hope this helps.
