Suggest Treatment For Bruises On Arm After Blood Donation

I donated blood last Thursday and had a small bruise the day of. Each day, the bruise has been getting bigger and more vibrantly colored. It almost looks as if three fingers are wrapped around the medial side of the antecubital region. I can also still see where I was stuck with the needle, and it is tender but is lateral to all of the bruising.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

you might be having a low platelet count and hence developing these bruises.

Get his platelet levels checked.

Usually it takes around 2 weeks for the bruise to heal,

you can use oint thrombophobe to get a faster relief.

A photograph would have helped me better.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
