Hello In 2007 used a leg extension exercise machine where you put a leg under a cushioned bar and then lift the leg. I noticed on my left leg 2 quarter size bruises where the bar rested. I also noticed slight swelling in my shin area. Mild pain with some toe bruising. My MD thought that I might ruptured some capillaries hence the bruising yet was concerned about a pathological fracture. Xray ruled out fracture so i thought it was fine. Now in 2015 I still have bruises which is actually broken looking capillaries quarter size. The swelling that was in my shin area seemed to have gotten bigger recently. It had never bothered me just was slightly odd looking. I went to my MD and he thought it was a lipoma. About 3 inches wide, movable, oval shaped, 1/4 deep……..so had a CT scan of it to confirm and the results were no mass, small fluid collection . My MD wrote me a consult to see a surgeon for further evaluation. What do you think it is since it is not a mass. Thanks
