Suggest Treatment For Bump Filled With Pus On Labia Majora

I have had a bump at the top of my labia majora for a couple of days now. It's a small (maybe about pea sized) bump which is tender/painful. It has just burst and was puss filled. What could it be? Is this a problem which I can treat myself or does it require medical attention? Thanks
