I have had a bump on the shaft of my penis for about a year now at first it was just a zit (I think). I popped it and it seemed to be a normal zit. but now it s been almost a year and it s still there just as a hard bump, nothing comes out of it no matter how hard I try to pop it again, it doesn t hurt and there is a little hole at the top of it, it s flesh colored, and I have never had any kind of sexual contact I m 20 years old any help on how to get rid of it would be very much appreciated! thanks.
Cysts are firm, hard bumps that cause no pain but when popped they can become infected. Do not touch, scratch or pop. Cysts ideally do not require any treatment and go away on their own. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a surgeon to rule out ingrown hairs, moles, pearly penile papules or fordyce spots.
Epidermoid cysts are the commonest & can be excised surgically under local anesthesia if there is no communication with the urethra. Before that you will have to go through a few blood work outs and STD test to stay on the safer side. Take care of your hygiene. Wear cotton clothes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
