Suggest Treatment For Bump On Upper Right Shoulder

My wife has a huge bump on her upper right shoulder / neck. Its about the size of a silver dollar. You can feel what seems like a sac of something extruding from it one up the neck the other down her back. The center of this bump is a hole about a quarter of an inch across by same deep. She has major discomfort and pain. What is it? We are homeless and can t pay please help me

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bump on upper right shoulder . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bony cysts , osteomyelitis , bony cysts , osteomyelitis and lipoma . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may check tenderness and consistency , doctor may also check weather it is movable or fix , order x-ray , CT scan , or take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at last for 10 days , give small cut and drain it under local anesthesia or may refer you to surgeon for severe case . For now give proper rest to shoulder , apply warm compresses and maintain hygiene .
