Suggest Treatment For Bumps In The Groin Area

I am extremely curious about these bumps that appear on my pubic area, they are filled with blood and they dont go away unless they pop. They are really sensitive and hurts a little when i touch it. I have had them for quite a while but i now i feel like i need help because they keep coming back. They only appear around the upper part of my pubic area and they always come back in the same spot. I recently turned 18 and i am not sexually active and i never have been so i doubt that it is an std.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to furuncles, which is an infection of the hair follicles.

I suggest using an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin for local application.

In case of pain, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. Cold compresses can also help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
