Suggest Treatment For Burn From Glycolic Acid On Breast

I fell asleep with glycolic acid on my breast. I put it on a pimple that left a mark and I didn t think that It would cause a problem. It burned into my breast and now I have a huge burn mark 1 x 1 next to my nipple. It is dark brown and dark red and it hurts. What would you recommend?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. You can treat your burn a skin care product that protects and heals skin, such as aloe vera cream or petrolatum gelly or an antibiotic ointment. Don't break blisters if any. Because open blister can lead to skin infection. You can wrap a dry gauze bandage loosely around the burn. For pain, you can take an over-the-counter pain killers like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.
Thank you.
