My wife sustained burns in the kitchen due spilling of hot oil. Immediately applied cold water and then burnol. The skin turned red and few blisters have formed. One of my doctor suggested Silvered Ionic ointments and some medicines. Will the scars disappear after few days. Please suggest.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of burn scars, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a Placentrex gel on it.
3. Take a vitamin E supplement.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
