Suggest Treatment For Burning Tongue Syndrome

I am suffering from burning tongue/mouth syndrome. Is there anything you know of that can cure or make the pain livable?
Also i have been dealing with Plantar faccitis for several weeks. I do lots of stretches but am afraid of the steroid shot my doctor recommends. Is there something else I should be doing like not walking until the pain stops.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Burning tongue/mouth syndrome is a condition in which there is burning sensation inside mouth and can also be associated with a scalded feeling and can also experience numbing sensation..
It can occur due to a number of causes like nutritional deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, dry mouth or xerostomia, stress, acid reflux, side effects of medicines etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination and investigations like blood tests can be advised..
Treatment of underlying cause will resolve the symptoms..
As of now to get relieved you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid spicy foods and take a soft bland diet..
Suck ice pops..

For Planter Fascitis that is an inflammation of Planter fascia along with stretching exercises and physiotherapy you also need to take anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, Naproxen etc.
You need to wear orthotics like heel cups to provide soft cushion to the feet..
Doing cool compresses can help..
You can also weak soft padded footwear..
Avoid walking bare feet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
