i am jeannette,i diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism in my right lung(last lobe )6years ago.i was put on wafarin for 2yrs.7 months ago because of an accuit pain i was having in my chest, ,a CT scan was done and the result show a calcified granuloma.what can i do to disolve the granuloma?
Generally calcified granuloma is an incidental finding and it doesn't require any treatment. It shows healed stage of infection. It is not active at all. Infection naturally heals by fibrosis and calcification. Calcified granuloma is not related to your symptoms.Chest pain may be due to some other reasons. All causes of chest pain should be thoroughly investigated. Treatment depend upon findings.
