Suggest Treatment For Cellulitis

I was recently diagnosed w celluitis but after leaving the er the next day i saw spots where the red had gone past the line the doctor drew and it looks like a light red down to my foot now but the other area seems purple now and everytime i stand there is so much pressure my leg feels numb and pus starts coming out is this normal or should i go back in.

Hi.
As per your case history of cellulitis, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
