No known effective management or treatment of central retinal vein occclusion is present till date as the cause is not certain. The only thing of concern is to find out the cause so that any further occlusion of vessels can be prevented. The systemic desease behind this has to be managed.still there are certain modalities which can regain blood circulation and vision to some extent but those need a higher centre where intravitreal injections can be given. As an initial treatment you can start with oral anticoagulants or Aspirin, antiinflammatory agents like diclofenac, or corticosteroids. Eye drops have minimal role in such patients.
