Suggest Treatment For Cerebral Palsy

Good morning, I have a grandson(8yrs old) who was diagnosed with CP at 3 months old. He has been making progress various means. He recently started to experience Absence Seizures and seems that he has them always in the morning and almost every other day. Doctor has him on DEBOKOTE medicine for almost 2 weeks now. He has been having them too often. Please, you advise of any other medication or options for him. We(grandparents are very concerned).
