Hi, I am a Chinese-American currently visiting family in China. I had a gynecologist appointment about 6 months ago and tested negative for all disease. However, for the past several years, I have had various symptoms, including thick discharge (sometime yellowish), vaginal itching, mild burning sensations during sex, and pain with certain sexual positions that used to cause no pain, and mild lower pelvic pain during everyday activity. Some of this may have had to do with a chlamydia infection that I was treated for about 8 months ago, but I still have these symptoms after that infection was treated. I have been tested in China, and diagnosed with cervic erosion. They suggest treatment using a recently developed ultrasonic procedure that is supposed to be relatively low-risk with only slight bleeding afterward. I simply want to consult an American doctor first to see whether this is a procedure known/available in America, to ask if this diagnosis sounds correct, and to learn what the typical treatment for cervical erosion is at home. Thank you very much!
