Suggest Treatment For Cervical Stenosis And Radiculopathy Of The C5/c6
I have cervical stenosis and radicopathy of the c5/c6. It affects my left arm mostly, started with numbness and tingling. About a month ago if I had my elbos bent I was unable to lift it more than a few inches off my body without incredible pain and then a few days ago my left leg (front Thigh) seems to lock up and I am unable to walk, this pain is just as severe. could they be related?
The leg pain may also be due to problems with the spine, especially at the lower back area. If a patient has spinal stenosis at the cervical area similar findings can be present in other areas as well.
You may need to have an MRI of the lumbar spine to rule out problems with the spine at that level.
As for treatment, depending on the degree of stenosis the doctor decides on further management but generally, surgery is needed if spinal stenosis is present.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
