My My mom is dealing with a pain in the back of her head at the base of her skull. She was hospitalized in June and was told she had a cervical strain, given muscle relaxes and was released. The pain has never totally gone away and now it is as intense as it was in June.
Cervical strain pain is due to muscle strain and nerve compression in the cervical spine. I would suggest to undergo MRI for confirmation. Take following advises: Tablet Pregabalin once a day at the bed time for one month Tablet Methylcobalamine once a day for one month Also take muscle relaxant along with above tablet. Warm pad application in the pain area. Intermittent Cervical traction exercises and neck exercise will helpful Wear Soft cervical collar specially Do not keep your neck in same position for long time. Hope this will help you
